land rover freelander td4 2004 high pressure fuel pump
« on: 22 June, 2016, 14:47:56 »
hi there guys i am new here and own my first land rover.last saturday i was driving down the m62 when i felt the car cough and then lost acceleration causing me to brake down on the hard shoulder.i have since found out that the high pressure fuel pump has failed and is leaking.a local garage in eccles has tried to re seal it but with no success.they could not get the pump off due to the awkwardness of the bolts and the mass of metalwork surrounding and attached to the pump bracket.i have contacted a local land rover specialist however they will only fit a brand new part @ 450+ plus labour so around 850 ish.they said they would not fit a reconditioned part as they would not want to do it again should it fail.there anyone in the north west area that would be willing to fit a reconditioned pump ?
thanks for any advice.

If you aint living life on the edge then youre taking up too much space...

Why go to the grave all pristine and thinking "I wish I'd tried that"... Why not slide in sideways all washed up. worn out &  shouting Woo Hoo
What a Ride!!!! ONE LIFE LIVE IT & ENJOY ;-)
