Sunroof Leaking
« on: 10 September, 2017, 16:34:54 »
Hi
Has anyone replaced the rubber seal around the sunroof on a L322 RR Vogue?  I've ordered the seal but wondered if it's a DIY job or worth paying for a specialist to do.

Any advice appreciated.

Regards
Darren

On the Disco3 the drain tubes have to be cleared on a regular basis, could your be the same problem?

Thanks Bernard, I've cleared the channels but I'm still getting drips of water into the car.  Hopefully the new seal will stop it.

Have done seals on other motors but not RR and generally diy job.. as bernard drain tubes prone to blocking on most motors

I use a length of curtain wire, gingerly pushed down the tube :P.

I had water coming into my freelander, it turned out to be water running direct from the glass under the rubber seal that is fitted around the glass, leaks in that area miss the drip tray which I thought must have rusted away, but after resealing the rubber around the glass, no more leaks.
